LA BEAUTÉ ? //
Qu'est ce que la beauté ? ce projet tente de définir ce qu'est la beauté en posant la question à 150 étudiants de l’école Penninghen. En suivant la théorie de ‘averageness’, l’idée que la beauté physique est atteinte en superposant plusieurs visages afin d’obtenir une moyenne, un profil composite par catégorie a été créé à partir des informations personnelles récoltées. L’assemblage de tous les portraits confondus détermine le visage collectif de l’étudiant de Penninghen. Un support imprimé accompagne ce format digital : une édition unique sur film transparent regroupe tous les portraits superposés et leur définition de la beauté.

What is beauty? this project attempts to find a definition by asking to 150 students at Penninghen School what is their definition of beauty. Following the theory of 'averageness', the idea that physical beauty is achieved by superimposing several faces in order to obtain an average, a composite profile by category was created from the personal information collected. The assemblage of all the portraits combined determines the collective face of the Penninghen student. A printed medium was also designed, a unique edition on transparent film brings together all superimposed portraits and their definition of beauty.
